I created the Sighted Guide Collection as a thank you to the people who have walked beside me through life with vision loss.
My husband and daughters have adapted to my world in ways most people never notice. They don't do everything for me—they simply make it easier for me to do the things I can do for myself. They quietly carry part of the mental load that comes with vision loss, allowing me to focus less on trying so hard to see and more on enjoying the moment.
They notice the curb before I do. They remember where our table is after I've stepped away. They tell me who's walking toward me, read a menu without hesitation, and describe the world around me in a way that helps me stay confident and independent.
Their greatest gift isn't doing things for me.
It's giving me the confidence to keep doing things for myself.
